I worked at Adobe full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1) Adobe Ireland employs almost exclusively women to save costs and promote womenhood, only women are promoted 2) Nice campus 3) Multicultural teams set up of Dublin employees and employees located in Bangalore, India - many video conferences and phone calls in state of the art vid conf rooms with India and Romania

    Cons

where to start 1) extreme micromanagement - be prepared that your working day will be planned down to every minute; colleagues called it a sweatshop 2) some management offsite (in Romania) 3) very uneven distribution of workload within the teams 4) the extra 7% payment at the end of the year are almost always dicounted as department heads want to save money 5) very high turnover of staff 6) all benefits go to management, who leave office at 4pm to collect kind from school, while staff are told to stay overhours - 7 or 8 pm to meet the deadlines 7) strategy to make Dublin the cheapest SSC in the world - Asian office was cloed with jobs moved to Dublin

I worked at Adobe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

decent salary plenty of parking space

    Cons

I had to copy some items from another review because they fit my experience perfectly - no free food and no decent restaurants around - Managers have poor communication skills and can be very aggressive. - Good work is not appreciated/recognised and properly valued: every mistake you make instead is recorded and highlighted - Micromanagement: activities have to be reported every 15 min - Workload is not distributed in a fair way - Poor work atmosphere

    - Managers have poor communication skills. -Good work is not appreciated/recognized and properly valued: every mistake you make instead is recorded and highlighted - SSC Environment: high pressure: breaks are closely monitored and advisable to avoid them or at least reduce them to minimum (i.e. Many employees have their breakfast and lunch at their desk). - Micromanagement: activities are closely monitored on an hourly basis - Workload is not distributed in a fair way - General moral in the office is low and turnover is high - Poor work atmosphere - No HR Department on site
