Pros

- they provide a training - while hiring you they pair you with their employee so you could see what your day to day duties would be

Cons

- had to spend a lot of time outside going door to door - was way too hot outside and I almost fainted couple of times - mostly cold calling - no hourly rate, only commission - long hours - door to door

Pros

They are really nice people to have a drink with.

Cons

For all potential candidates. If you go on their website, you might get confused with a 15 year old girl's facebook page. Honestly what professional company with legitimate growth potential, would have the time or care to respond to anonymous internet trolls such as myself (scroll down and notice their lengthy responses to every bad review). Everything about this company screams frat house, as opposed to a legitimate corporation. Save yourselves some time and apply to real companies who actually pay you a salary, as opposed to their measly commission based pay.

Every professional, legitimate company employs somebody on their team to manage the public relations of their overall reputation. Glassdoor is one of the leading companies for employer/employee feedback, therefore it's highly important that we monitor our reviews to make sure we are doing the best job for our team and our clients. It is never a waste of time to respond to our reviews since we prioritize the way people have experienced working with us, regardless of the rating - since our mission is to constantly improve and evolve. By your own admission, this post was created as a form of internet trolling rather than an authentic review of our company. We understand that the sales/marketing industry in Toronto is highly competitive and it's common to see competitors post similar reviews such as this for companies who are doing it right. Our compensation is performance based (as our website clearly states), our reps absolutely get paid - and high performers get compensated well above average for their experience level.

Pros

Fun sales environment. Go for beers on team night. Play fun games in the morning.

Cons

Cult atmosphere. Employees dedicate 10+ hours a day and are ridiculed for trying to have a work life / personal life balance. The success rate of 'owners' demonstrates why this is not an 'opportunity'. Do you really want to make 11$ an hour? No? Good, because at Addella you wont make 11$/hr, you will make even less.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Most people are unfamiliar with a work environment that is constantly positive, motivating and full of people who come into work excited about what they do. It's understandable that this might come off as different or unfamiliar for the average person, however our company isn't built on average standards. If somebody wants to get ahead and earn a promotion, they're probably putting in more time and energy than their peers. This isn’t unique to Addella – there are some people who put in a tonne of time and some who don’t, just like any other company. We sincerely apologize on behalf of whoever made you feel insignificant for not sharing their same values. The compensation structure here at Addella is extremely attractive because the highest performers are awarded with the highest income and advancement opportunities. If we invested most our revenue into base salaries for everybody at the entry-level; this would certainly raise the floor but it would significantly drop the ceiling and put an undesirable cap on the earning potential of our hardest working and highest performing entry-level team members, who we view to be our #1 priority. We are thankful that you provided feedback on your own personal experience with our company and again, are sorry if things did not work out the way we all hoped when we initially brought you on to the team. If we decided to work with you in the first place, it’s because we saw potential and really liked you. With that said, we wish you the best of luck on your future endeavours.
