      Worst Job I’ve Ever Had

      Pros

      The engineering team was wonderful, bright, and talented. Part of their product is open source.

      Cons

      I received very little credit for my work. Pay was well below market average. Non-engineering roles slowed down the pace/momentum. Unrealistic deadlines, seemingly chosen at random. CEO is often insulting, harsh, and demanding towards employees. Expected to work ridiculously unsustainable hours.

      Pros

      - Talanted coworkers from all over the world - Work on smth that can impact millions and millions of people - Shape the way data is being managed! - Ownership and initiative encouraged and rewarded

      Cons

      - the team is distributed, so be prepared to have occasional calls outside the normal 9-5 (it's a startup, so I guess it comes with the territory) - not really a con, but be prepared for 24/7 feedback (both giving and receiving)

      Growth opportunities abound but long hours and no holidays

      Pros

      Exponential growth, learning something new every day. Interesting tasks. Constant feedback from the CEO, small team. As the team is small, besides just coding, I attend events, try to sell what I built, and handle marketing. Also, after some time started doing backend engineering or any tasks outside my role scope that block me, but I can handle them. Very transparent. Flexible with dayoffs or WFH.

      Cons

      Sometimes late-night, holidays, and weekends work. The only way is to fully believe in the product and love what you are building. Also, we are only on-site.
