Pros
Flexible for the most part. Job is overall easy if you are quick to learn and know basic CAD. Most people are pretty personable so communicate and get on their good side.
Cons
Bonus structure changed a lot. Never say “I don’t know” when managers, especially the guys in the corner office, ask questions. Only 8 days of PTO. Benefits were not great. No 401K match. Very hostile environment unless you asked questions and knew what you were doing. Bathrooms were out of order for months (they provided porta potties but I did not use and drove to the nearest gas station lol). Stopped doing team lunches to reward the engineers and keep morale high. Worked there for 2 and a half years and never saw a raise until I was leaving. The owner can be very daunting so ask questions and keep records of all communication and notes during meetings.
