I have been working at AA Insurance full-time

    Pros

This company stands behind their values. You can feel the company culture when you walk through the door, people are passionate about what they do, have a smile on their faces and a great work atmosphere and surroundings. Beautiful office and perks galore. Free fruit, real lunch breaks, flexible working and a 37.5 hour week. Internal career progression is strong and some great stories of this through every... department.

    Cons

Parking in the city is a premium however, public transport that drops you right out side the door and if it doesn't we put on a free shuttle bus each morning and afternoon from the Britomart.

I have been working at AA Insurance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pretty cruisy work Good people working there Mostly good training

    Cons

They talk about culture but don't actually live it - people just use it as a way to shut people down when challenged Don't deal with poor performance The manager of my whole department is selling isogentics and some other pyramid scheme thing to people that work there. Really pressuring people to but his weird stuff even though everyone knows its a rip off. People feel like they cant say no

    Advice to Management

Pay the managers more so they dont have to make their workers do pyrimad schemes

I worked at AA Insurance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They provide great training and support when you first start working as a sales and service representative. And good benefits from working here such as discounts at certain retailers

    Cons

Role can be quite stressful with bad customers and if it is busy it can be very full on. I felt like it was very slow to develop and move up within the company .

I have been working at AA Insurance full-time

    Pros

-Insurance benefits. -Work/life balance, especially for parents. -Nice, new building and staff areas. -Some really great people. -Potentially great roles (depending on which team you're on). -If you enjoy a political challenge and can turn a blind eye to the unethical stuff, you might thrive here. -The CEO seems like a genuine guy.

    Cons

-Potentially toxic culture (depending which team you're on). -Traditional and corporate. -Rigid attitude toward flexible working. -Asks for feedback, makes superficial changes only. -My experience is that you have to play a Machiavellian political game to avoid becoming collateral damage in someone else’s.

    Advice to Management

Talk is cheap, especially when it comes to culture. The company are well aware of ingrained cultural problems from regular surveys. It's the "like it or leave it" response to these surveys which is inappropriate.

I worked at AA Insurance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very welcoming culture for new employees, new facilities, great training,

    Cons

Very small IT budget, managers are not as competent at managing people (move into leadership position due to being there longest, not because they know how to lead a team). Distrust of remote employees - work from home is available but not encouraged.
