Saving its customers money is just what fuels Traffic Tech's bottom line. Founded in Montreal in 1986 as Econ Freight Dispatchers, Traffic Tech provides freight-forwarding, largely by truck, but also by ship, and air, as well as offers warehousing and distribution, and customs brokerage. The company took the Traffic Tech name in 1988. It owns no vehicles; the company is able to provide global service by outsourcing transportation through alliances with carriers and insurance agents. Traffic Tech operates through multiple locations in Canada and the US, as well as offices in South America, Europe and China.
