The subsidiaries of Rival Technologies are vying for their slice of the pie. The company is developing two technologies aimed at the oil and gas industry. Its TRU Oiltech subsidiary is developing a thermal reagent that is designed to improve the viscosity of crude oil to better facilitate its transport through pipelines. Its other subsidiary, CWI Technologies, is developing a process for reducing diesel engine emissions and improving fuel efficiency. That technology is slated to be installed on diesel locomotive engines in a deal with Canada-based Neptune Bulk Terminals. Rockridge Capital Corp. owns about 28% of Rival Technologies.
