QD manufactures four lines for automated material characterization by researchers in material science, biology, chemistry, and physics: the Magnetic Property Measurement System; the Physical Property Measurement System for multi-applications, the portable cryogen-free, cryocooler-based Vibrating Sample Magnetometer, and a full slate of Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) sensors and electronics. The company also distributes products for other instrument manufacturers. QD was established in 1982; it has facilities in Japan and the US, and sales offices worldwide.
