Interpump Group likes high-pressure when it comes to its business. The company makes a range of products to serve four sectors: hydraulics (oil pressure power take-offs), industrial equipment (high and very high-pressure plunger pumps), electric motors (used in high pressure washers and compressors, and in gate openers), and cylinders (hydraulic pumps). Interpump exports its products to more than 60 countries worldwide. The company, which was founded by CEO Fulvio Montipò in 1977, jumpstarted a plan to focus on more technology-intensive products with its 2005 acquisition of Hammelmann, a Germany-based manufacturer of high-pressure pumps.
