Firecom sparks feelings of security in its customers. The company designs, manufactures, tests, distributes, and services customizable fire safety and security systems. The firm sells its systems under the Firecom brand to residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers in the US. Firecom has installed its products in more than 350 facilities, protecting more than 3 million people. In addition, the company has a nearly 40% stake in alarm and safety products manufacturer Synergx Systems. Founded in 1963, Firecom was taken private in 2001 by an investment group led by chairman and CEO Paul Mendez.
