Its EZ Street cold asphalt mix is used by departments of transportation around the country in order to repair potholes and utility cuts to roads. The company, which operates about a dozen plants, has roots that reach back to 1923, when G. F. Snell and his son E. R. started a rock culvert and wall building business. The company incorporated in 1959 and it continues to be owned and managed by the Snell family.
