      Operations Manager Interview

      14 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at ooma (Palo Alto, CA) in Jun 2014

      Interview

Had a phone screening with HR. The lady was nice and responsive. She set up a face-to-face interview for me with the director. I went in ... The director showed up with my resume in hand. The first thing he said was that I did not have enough experience for the role!! I politely explained my experience related to the job but he was not convinced. I had a feeling to ask him:" Why did you call me in if you thought I was not a good fit for the job?". It was a terrible feeling and overall a very bad experience. He also asked a tricky question that he himself admitted there was no "right" answer for. I did not understand what he was really after. Did this director really had nothing else to do instead of calling me in for an interview and giving me that kind of play?? I found it totally unprofessional and absolutely disgusting.

      Question 1

A question that the interviewer did not even have an answer for! He openly admitted it.
