I was approached by the head recruiter at Intellio who was quite efficient in his process. After a few messages back and forth, we had a 15 minute phone call followed by an hour interview at their offices to speak with the hiring manager.
Throughout the process, I requests a job description but was never given one. Upon arriving at the interview, the office and the process was in disarray (*granted they were moving) but completely unprofessional.
My interview with the hiring manager was standard except he wasn't paying attention to any of the answers and disagreed with me on basic CPQ principles (ie: it's extremely important to get a sales policy or discounting guideline set before implementing a sales approval process.) He kept referring back to their current practices and the need for someone with my skill set, yet couldn't give me straight answers on how the position would operate. Our discussion was interrupted a minimal of 4 times by other employees.
I left on a relatively good note as the recruiter admitted they did not have a job description but they were looking for someone with my background to fill a current business void.
I was contacted a month and a half later (*granted including the Christmas break) for a follow up interview. I decided not to proceed with Intellio based on first impressions.
