I applied online. Within 10 days I got an email from the company that I have been selected for the interview. I had a virtual 30-minute interview with their Senior Engineer. The interview went very well. Basic questions on my background and projects. It was more about what they want from me. As I told the interview went well, I got selected for the next round. The next round was with a team member I was going to closely work with. I was asked basic Linux and python programming questions and then about my projects. The interview went good. After the interview, within 3-4 days I got an email from HR that the team informed that they are still interviewing candidates and I am still in the running for the position. After 2 weeks, I emailed them again for a follow-up and got the same reply. They ghosted me for like one month. In the meanwhile, I contact an internal employee to check update about my application and the person tells me I have made it, my interviewer told them that I have cleared the second round as well. Then after one month, I get a reply from the company that I have not been selected for the position and they also changed the role name from Data Collection Co-Op to Machine Learning Data Co-Op. I found the process very unprofessional.
