I had a screening call with an operations person which went really well, she thought I was a great fit for the role. Was moved forward to an interview with an interim manager who is normally in charge of something else. He was not personable at all and made the interview very uncomfortable. He only asked questions about a very niche piece of experience that I do not have, At no point in my application did I say I had more than very basic experience in this area, and he literally called me out for being inexperienced in that area in the interview. Why would they move a candidate forward who doesn't have that experience? A waste of my time and a very uncomfortable experience. Was happy to receive the rejection email a few days later.

The interview process was really nice—I had three in total: two online and one in person to present a design exercise. Everyone was very kind. However, in general, I don't agree with companies asking for a design exercise, as I see it as essentially working for free.
