I interviewed for the Customer Success Manager position and was very disappointed by the recruiter. He seemed completely uninterested in me and what I had to say even while I was high energy the entire interview. He simply seemed to hate his job and talking to people. I even asked him why he liked working at bet365 since I was not getting the impression that he did. He gave a non-answer saying that some people like it because they like the industry. I would hope so!
I am a hiring manager in my current position and would be appalled if my recruiter was having this kind of first interaction with my prospective employees. If I was offered a position, I am not sure I would take it because I don't want this to be the type of first impression my future direct reports have with my company.
I highly recommend looking into hiring recruiters who are able to hold a conversation with an interviewee.
