I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zimmerman Advertising (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Interview
There was an open creative design position, which led me to research as many creatives employed by Zimmerman as possible. After getting a feel for the type of creatives Zimmerman employs, I sent in my resume. I immediately met with the VP of Creative Services and things seemed to be going well. Based on the position's requirements, I had the right amount of experience, worked with big clients, and had a lot of experience. However, the interview seemed to have went south after the interviewer asked about my digital experience.
After the interview, I sent a Thank You letter and asked to be updated on the status of the position. The next day, I received a reply saying that the VP felt I did not have enough experience for the position and I was not as well versed in digital although that was not listed as a requirement for the position. Although I feel I was denied employment while less creative individuals are employed, I saw it as a sign to seek employment elsewhere. I will say that the VP was nice enough to want to stay in touch in the event I fit the requirements of a future position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zimmerman Advertising (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Mar 2015
Interview
It went okay. They were very outgoing and really put a whole show on for you. They had a driver pick me up and drive me to the office which was nice. The interview itself was really easy, they made it seem much more difficult to get a job there than it actually is.
