I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zettle (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied via Stack Overflow. The interviewer was extremely polite and gave a very detailed picture about the company and the role. He was extremely quick to respond to my questions over email also. He asked me few technical questions to do the initial screening.
Following the recruiter screen, there was a tech interview with the tech team.
It was a 2 hours hangouts conference where few tasks were given to solve.
After the Tech interview, I received the call next day itself asking me for available dates for the Culture interview.
Culture interview happened in the next week. This was more casual interview with other members of tech team. Following the culture interview, I had the final tech manager interview after two days.
Tech manager interview was slightly more serious as compared to culture fit interview.
Following the tech manager interview I received the offer next week.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zettle (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Jan 2019
Interview
1st interview happened within few days after applying. It was a video-call with their recruiter. It was a brief and clear introductory chat with just a few screening questions.
2nd interview a week later was a technical one, conducted by two web developer employees, doing a live coding test by having me sharing my screen. The test was structured like a scenario with little risk of getting stuck, and I was asked to refine my solutions as I proceeded. The same day I also received a feedback call from the recruiter telling I passed the test and what was going to happen next.
3rd interview, was arranged at the office in Stockholm within 2.5 weeks to do a planning on whiteboard for a fictional a web site/service, with theme and content related to the position. There was also an interview with the Tech Manager in charge of this recruitment. These interviews offered me more room for questions, which were answered in a best faith manner.
I think, for other people getting interviews here, it would be a good idea to check out the profiles of the people interviewing you, as there wasn't very much time nor prominance given to introductions. So, you probably could spend more energy on the topics and tasks at hand. I didn't have to present to other staff than the interviewers either. Not saying that's not a good thing, but I was satisfied enough meeting interviewers who were the potential future collegues.
It's also a good thing that the first interviews are always done by video, no matter where you live. Just be considerate there may be delays in the process and the content of the interviews may not be too intricate or long. The recruiter is also very good at responding to related concerns.
