I interviewed at Young enterprise (London, England)
Interview
The interview process was straight forward. It involved a presentation and Q&A which was a relatively standard interview process and the final stage was a meet the team cultural fit exercise. Questions were as expected with an emphasis on me as a person. I enjoyed it and felt like a good representation of the culture.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Young enterprise in Jun 2022
Interview
Two stages. Stage 1 with recruiter. Stage 2 with board.
Huge gaps between the interviews and actually quite challenging to pin down feedback or follow ups. Recruiter behaved very cryptically.
The role was described both in description and in conversation as ‘a longing to depart from government or local authority based funding’. I was disappointed to learn the CEO appointed was a former government employee with no other industry (public sector only) experience.
If I had known then I would not have applied. I felt quite misled.

Question 1
How would you respond to a safeguarding breach involving a sensitive staff member or trustee?
Hi,
We read through your review and believe there is some confusion as there were no CEO interviews held in June 2022 since our current CEO has been in post from 2019. We believe this review may have been written in error or perhaps for any other organisation? We would very much appreciate it if you could kindly delete this review as we believe it was written in error. If you wished to share more details, please could you write to hr@y-e.org.uk so we can further discuss this experience?
Many thanks,
HR team
