I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Yardi Systems (Santa Barbara, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview was scheduled for just a 30-minute slot, but stretched to over 1.5 hours. My interviewer reached out asking for a call the week of! Then they take a full day to confirm, giving you hardly any real chance to prepare (I did anyway). The interviewer excessively scrutinized my resume, posing three or more questions for each bullet point. I felt this particular interviewer tries to stress test you by being annoying and asking too many clarifying questions, 1 after the other, from just 1 question, all while purposely not understanding your responses and asking you to repeat yourself. Their demeanor was unprofessional, displaying rudeness and dismissiveness throughout the process - they also did not handle some of my end-of-interview questions, which were highly well-intended or showed interest in the company. The entire experience was highly unpleasant and left a negative impression. For the first time ever, I had a strong inclination to just call them back to withdraw my interest. In the end, I dodged a bullet if they are hiring recruiters like this.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yardi Systems (Sydney)
Interview
After application, I got back from a HR from US advising about how much they're paying for the role and if i still wanted to proceed. Below average pay.
That was the first red flag. they want someone with multiple skills but put an associate title with below average pay.
The HR asked if i come one site for interview. Asked her if remote is possible instead. Still went for an interview on site (second red flag). the HR herself joined remotely when i went onsite.
i could sense hesitation after i said my salary expectations which was only 80k BTW.
a week later, got a rejection email and their job listing is still up there.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Yardi Systems (Vancouver, BC) in Dec 2025
Interview
I had a brief screening call with their US based recruiters, before meeting with the hiring manager and other team members, and finally meeting with the hiring manager and a senior leader. All interviews were conducted remotely.
