I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at XiFin (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
I became aware of the company through an executive recruiter and started following them from a career interest perspective 6 months prior to my application. I applied for the role in mid December and within a few days was contact by HR for a preliminary discussion. A couple of days later was asked via a voicemail for a telephone interview with the hiring manager between Christmas and New Years which did not fit into my schedule. I offered alternate availability the first week of January knowing that they may not be able or willing to wait. The HR person was very responsive and set up the telephone interview in early January. The telephone interview with the hiring manager took about 45 minutes during which they provided more detail on the role and were forth coming in their answers to my questions. The hiring manager defined next steps and timelines. Within 3 business days, HR contacted me and asked me to come in for a face to face interview the following week with the hiring manager and 6 key stakeholders. They were very well organized with an agenda, meeting location, directions, etc. The in person interviews were structured and informative. People were friendly and asked thoughtful questions. At the end of the in person interview it was shared with me the remaining timelines (about 2 weeks) and how many people were in this phase of the process. It was very helpful. Within the 2 weeks I was emailed that they wanted to move forward with me as a candidate and received an offer letter within 2 days. Employment offer was conditional pending a thorough background check and drug test which was expected given the industry they serve and the information they handle. Overall this interview process was a breath of fresh air. HR was incredibly responsive and professional. The hiring manager stuck to the timeline and gave concrete feedback.
