First step was an interview with HR, which was a really great experience. The recruiter was super friendly and listen attentively. It didn't feel like she was following a script with questions, but felt human and authentic. She allowed me plenty of time to ask my questions and gave me great answers.
Second step was a positioning exercise about Hubdoc + interview with the Product Marketing team. The positioning exercise was fairly straightforward and not too much time-consuming. I learned a lot about the product by analyzing their website, reading customers reviews, and researching the competition. The interview with the Product Marketing team was very focused on my work experience and my vision of Product Marketing.
Third interview was with the Product team. One of their GMs, a Product Manager, and a Product Owner. The questions were more focused on how I collaborate with product teams and they looked specifically for examples of deliverables.
I felt a bit more nervous for this one and probably didn't give great answers. Also, my answers were really long-winded because I didn't really understand what they were looking for and tried to touch on points that I thought that could be relevant based on my research.
A few days later, I got the feedback that they were impressed with my experience and attitude, but my communication skills fell short of expectations for not being concise. They really said it in the nicest way possible and I agreed with the feedback.
