I was very excited about this position that my friend posted on Facebook and immediately fell in love with the company based on its website and culture. Although, after this experience, I have to say I am extremely disappointed at their lack of communication, disregard, and total lack of respect shown to those who are truly interested in working with their company. I received an email from HR, asking for a phone interview hours after I submitted my application online. Despite the fact that she was clearly distracted, kept correcting herself, and asked the same question multiple times, I felt that I answered her questions thoroughly with responses relevant to the position I applied for. Her end of the conversation was basically nonexistent. I got nothing back from her in terms of follow up questions or any sort of personality whatsoever, which is so contradictory to the atmosphere they claim to have as employees of Wpromote! It felt like a very one-sided interview, which it should be, but there wasn't any engagement between myself and the interviewer. This could have been an interview tactic but one I have never experienced before and it doesn't create an atmosphere conducive to learning about my true skill set and personality. It doesn't reflect well on this company, especially its HR department, to cut all communication after a phone interview that ended with "I will pass along your info and let you know the next steps in the process." I am not naive. I know I have not been selected to move forward in the hiring process, despite my extensive relevant experience. I just find it rude and incredibly unprofessional of any company, not just Wpromote, to not respond to applicants who have made contact with HR and completed a phone interview! I even contacted them again a week later asking for a follow up, but heard nothing back. Very disappointing! I was very excited about this position and company....
