Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful and candid feedback, we genuinely appreciate it.
First, I want to sincerely apologize for the lack of follow-up and for how that experience felt on your end. That is on me, and it’s not the experience we aim to deliver. As a very lean People team of 1 supporting rapid growth, things can occasionally move faster than our systems catch up but that is not an excuse, and I’m actively working to improve communication and close-the-loop follow-ups across all candidates. I’ve also recently encouraged candidates to reach out directly if they haven’t heard back, as I never want silence to be the final interaction.
I’m glad to hear that your interactions with the team felt fair and that the people came across as kind, that matters a great deal to us.
Your feedback around the role evolving and being more niche than originally described is also fair. As a growing startup, our needs can sharpen quickly as leadership comes on board and priorities crystallize, and we’re continuously working to ensure our job descriptions and interview processes better reflect that reality upfront.
We also appreciate the candid input on the technical assessment. We are actively reviewing and refining our evaluations to ensure they are clear, relevant, and truly reflective of the work we expect someone to do here, feedback like this directly informs that work.
Thank you again for your time, interest, your effort, and for sharing your experience. We truly wish you the best in your search and appreciate the opportunity to learn and improve from this.
