Not normally one to complain, but I'm compelled to here
Applied online. Got an email back the next day requesting a phone interview. No problem. Schedule the interview a week out. Do that. Wait a week. Hear back. Another phone interview requested with a different person. Schedule that a week out. Do the 2nd phone interview.
They wait 3 more days then request an in-person interview. Schedule that a week and a half out. (At this point, I'm 4 weeks away from having submitted my application). Go do the in person interview. Goes very well. They tell me the timeframe for filling the position is looking like another 3 weeks. Tell me that if they are interested in hiring me, there will be another (seriously?) phone interview before they can hire me.
Leave the in-person interview. That night they email asking to schedule the 3rd phone interview. I didn't respond the next day, but the day after. They respond back immediately saying that interviews for the position have been closed. I can only think they weren't pleased with how long I waited to respond, or they would have at least let me do the phone interview that they requested. Clearly they valued their time at a higher premium than mine.
Fast forward two more weeks. They email telling me the position has been filled but thanks for my interest.
Got the general impression that they had no respect for those applying for the job. Didn't get an offer (obviously) but wouldn't have accepted if I did. Truly painful process for what was close to an entry-level position
