I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Wizeline (Guadalajara, Jalisco) in Jun 2016
Interview
The interview process consisted of three technical phone screens and, after that, an on-site visit which includes a 4-hour exercise to solve.
The phone screens were problem-solving oriented which was a relief for me since I do not have the Web-development experience required; I did tell Wizeline this every time. With that being said, the on-site exercise was Web-related and I was not extended an offer because of this as it was well noted by the on-site's exit interviewer as he kept blaming me for not preparing enough.
Everybody--from the HR/Recruiting team to the developers who interviewed me--were extremely kind and nice with the exception of one of the site manager with whom I had the exit interview. I honestly reckon I would not have accepted any offer from Wizeline just because of him.

Question 1
Set up a server and a database to be accessed through a RESTful API and consume it through a Web browser.
Todo fue muy claro y sencillo, desde un inicio fueron super buena onda, me explicaron paso a paso el proceso, 4 entrevistas, RH, técnica, arquitectura, cliente, todas dificiltad promedio, los ejercicios de siempre.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wizeline (Guadalajara, Jalisco)
Interview
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wizeline in Jul 2025
Interview
Initial HR interview with very few questions; HR rep couldn't answer any questions I asked about the position.
We scheduled a tech interview for a few days later, so I took half a day off to prepare myself and to attend the interview... and no one showed up; I was left by myself in a video call. I emailed the HR rep who made up an excuse about internet connection issues, and that she would reschedule. After a week waiting for the follow-up, I emailed her and she said they had closed the vacancy because the client changed their mind, etc.
Three weeks later, and the exact same vacancy is still being advertised on their website and linkedin.
Honestly? It was BS from start to finish, with little to no communication without me engaging, and I wasted half a day of holidays.
Thank you very much Gabi! I hope you stub one or both toes every morning for a long time.
