They contacted me first in response to my resume on Monster for an interview. I was a little surprised, because I hadn't applied for a position. When I arrived, they had me wait for a while in a conference room where I was eventually greeted by a developer and the Vice President. The latter read my resume out loud in front of me in a way that made it clear he'd never seen it before.
The interview was every HR person's worst nightmare. They asked me how old I was. I'm not kidding. They asked several questions that seemed geared towards ferreting out whether I was part of the locally dominant religion. They said that they had looked up my Facebook profile ahead of time and called me in "because I looked like a cool person."
Finally, they didn't seem have a clear idea of what they were hiring for. Even when I asked them directly, they confessed they weren't even sure what they wanted from the position. It could be copywriting, design, coding, whatever--they weren't really sure. Unsettling, to say the least.
