I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at William Blair
Interview
Phone interview with an Associate/VP in the office, followed by an in-person 5-6 round interview (superday). Everyone I spoke with was extremely nice and friendly, and they seemed to have a great office culture. Be prepared, technical questions were quite difficult. Also be prepared to talk about trends in the market, any companies and their transactions that you have been following, and why you want to do investment banking.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at William Blair (London, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
Initial screen by HR. Then may rounds of interviews. Case study, followed by more interviews. Majority in person at their office. Provide shallow feedback, and are unresponsive to follow ups.

Question 1
Nothing out of the ordinary: Why William Blair? Why Investment Banking? Why this sector? Any particular deals we’ve worked on?
First round mix of standard investment banking technicals and then some behavioral questions about a recent deal that you liked, and material events to test your market knowledge. Overall, wasn't too bad but didn't make it to the next round.
