they will sit on applications for 2 to 3 weeks AFTER the time for taking apps is over, then the background check.. it can take 3 to 5 weeks before you actually start, and it's all online now.. so be prepared and thats for internal positions as well. they like to do panel interviews and ask all the silly questions about 'if you were in this or that situation' ect. the interviews are designed to get you to talk and, they like the laidback but very friendly easy going 'yes' types. for managment postions they have you write an action plan and if you can write a good one it holds alot of weight but...you will never use that plan or be expected to use it or refer to it in any way shape or form. their interview process is made to help you forget that you still working in Retail Grocery.
