I received an email one week after submitting an application online. I scheduled a call with a recruiter.
The recruiter was extremely low energy. Not even a calm demeanor, just low low energy. It was hard to be enthusiastic when it's a phone call and the person on the other end is giving nothing. It was a 30 minute call, and a somewhat weird one at that. She kept on asking questions that I had already answered pretty clearly. It seemed like she just had a list of questions to ask and wasn't paying attention to see if I had already answered it in a previous sentence. I'm not even talking about her wanting me to expand on something, it was very apparent non-listening.
She explained that should I move on to the second round, I would meet with the hiring manager, and then the third round is a meeting with the CEO and other members of leadership.
I got a rejection via email. However, I learned Wheel recently laid off ~34 employees, so I am glad it didn't work out.
