I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Wheatland Tube (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Process took 3+months. I first did a phone interview. That went well and I had a onsite interview with the hiring manager within the week. That went well. The interview was conversational, mainly discussing my background and experiences. While I was there, I had a tour of the facility and met several other managers.
There was a months time before they requested a second onsite. The second onsite was not an interview, but an assessment of my skills. I had to tour one of the buildings and come up with a list of CI projects. I sent the info directly to the hiring manager.
After that, I didn't hear for more than 2 months. When I inquired, I was told they were interviewing more candidates. I kept being told I was 'still being considered'. In mid-November (process started first week in August), I was told they didn't approve the budget for the position at the salary I was asking. The position was still open.
