Standard SWE internship interview with a Karat round instead of an OA. The next 2 rounds were with software engineers from Whatnot and primarily focus on DSA Leetcode problems. The recruiters were open about what topics I should study up on and the process was very smooth.

Interview
The first-round Whatnot interview includes six short video questions, each with a one-minute response limit. Both camera and microphone remain on throughout the recording. The questions assess your motivation, problem-solving skills, and overall fit for the role.

Question 1
The questions focus on the motivation for applying, the experience using the Whatnot app (what you like and what could be improved), a summary of past internships or work experiences, the approach to learning new programming languages and which one most comfortable with, a problem-solving story, and final check about location, relocation preference, graduation date, and sponsorship.
The HR was really nice, and the phone screen was mainly about the HR introducing the interview process to you. The phone screen was about 20 minutes and they responded the results very quickly.
