HR was friendly and professional. However my interview with the hiring manager was one of the strangest experience I've had and would keep me from seeking care at the facility.
The hiring manager was 30 minutes late to the interview. I'm using the word interview lightly. She literally did not ask me one question throughout the one hour I was there. No "tell me about yourself," no "what interests you about the position," nothing.
They were hiring a nurse manager for a new clinic they were opening. Without coming up for air, hiring manager told me about the clinic and position. Sensing she was not going to ask me any questions, I occasionally tried to interject to highlight my experience or ask thoughtful questions about the role and how I might contribute to the mission of starting a new clinic.
She did answered my questions in a superficial manner that, to me, indicated they were ill-prepared to open a clinic and might not even understand the role of a nurse manager. She never asked a follow up question. Really weird.
A few weeks later, I got an email from HR saying they had decided to move forward with other candidates. I could do anything but laugh because I have no idea how they could possibly decide between candidates when the hiring manager is such an incompetent interviewer.
