Seemed very off the wall when I received a call from the recruiter for her to not respond to my calls. I had to speak to the manager of the store I was applying to and I magically heard back from her. The specific location I applied to didn't have an interview office so I had to drive out of the way to another store just to get interviewed. I only needed to do an oral swab and fill out paper work. Which was very quick. What I was surprised about was how other candidates weren't dressed up at all.
I applied online. I interviewed at Weis Markets in Jul 2022
Interview
Straightforward, questions focused on customer service experience and hypotheticals on how you would handle a situation. Schedule flexiblity/availability was also discussed from both sides. Interviewed with front end store manager.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Weis Markets
Interview
It takes weeks to get a call or e-mail. After having an interview, drug-test, and background check I was told to expect a call in the next few days to set up training and orientation. It took almost a month to receive a call to set up training and orientation. Everything else after that has been fine and is normal, but the recruiter and her process is horrendous, and I have heard similar stories from other past employees.
