      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at WeWork (Dublin, Dublin) in Jun 2021

      Interview

After applying for the position online, I received an email in about a week’s time inviting me to an online 30-45 minute interview with a Community Manager at WeWork. I really enjoyed the interview, the interviewer was very informative and pleasant, and seemed to be genuinely interested in the interview. On the same day I was informed that I will be progressing to the next and final stage of the hiring process, which would be held in person at the WeWork offices. The in person interview was a couple hours long, and mainly consisted of initially one of the managers and then a senior associate walking me around all of the buildings. I felt this was a huge waste of time as all the buildings looked exactly the same and 90% empty, with not much information being provided during this “tour”. The associates and the manager seemed pretty tired and kind of disinterested in conducting our interview, and I later found out that despite this being the final stage and only one position available for this role, they were interviewing over a dozen people still, which explained why it felt so impersonal. Finally in the last hour I had an actual interview with the manager. She completely sped through the questions and once again seemed completely disinterested in what I had to say. This was very disappointing to me as I had to take time off work and prepare for this very long interview event. In the end, despite being told that I will “definitely” hear back from them by the end of the week, I had to chase them down the week after for some feedback. I didn’t receive the offer and the feedback provided to me was disappointingly generic and non-constructive.

      Interview

Four rounds of interviews with one in person building visit. One interview, zoom interview, in person visit w/ interview, final interview over zoom. It's a long and arduous process that didn't really sit well with me, but they do like to be thorough about who they're hiring based on first impressions. It's a lot of in person, customer service stuff with face to face interactions so it makes sense. Still, four rounds is kind of crazy.
