      Store Associate Interview

      5 Aug 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Wawa

      Interview

Applied with the store manager - just walked in and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with him for a few minutes and filled out an application. Got hired on the spot. Went to a group training class at another store. I believe it was for a few hours. Learned about the history of the company and what would we would be doing. I "shadowed" a few senior coworkers for the first few weeks - then I was given tasks to do on my own. I was paid for the training.

      Store Associate Interview

      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wawa (Somerton, PA) in Aug 2014

      Interview

It was a joke, it was basically when can you start, no questions to verify what I said on my resume was true, which it was. But from what I saw about other people getting hired, I felt like I could ask a minimum of 5 questions and vet the applicants 1000% better than the AGMs who apparently had the same process for them since they seemed to be as incompetent as a lot of the new hires. Also if you are not worried about previous experience than you need a whole lot of training but never seen any new hire get more than a cpl hours here and there of hands on. Way too little and it reflects the way management wants the store operated. Poorly run at best for many if not all wawas right now.
