First stage of interview was fairly straightforward and brief. I arrived and there were 4 managers sitting in a board room and they basically took turns reading some pre-prepared questions. Everything went well but I found it weird that one of the managers basically bragged that she works in the office everyday instead of working some days from home because being in the office lets her keep an eye on staff and be present to support them. Smelled like code for “I am a micromanager.” What really sealed my disinterest was when it came time to schedule the second round of interviews. When I reached out to the Admin manager asking if we can come up with an alternative day or time I was met with “unfortunately I cannot accommodate you “. Mind you the only options they offered to schedule interview #2 was one day within a two hour window and if you can make that very tight window well good luck. I had a prior commitment. I asked if we can arrange to schedule for an alternative date and I was very flexible but the response was “Unfortunately I am unable to accommodate you.” At that point I was so turned off I no longer even wanted the job. 3/4 of the interviewers were middle aged white women so take with that info what you will.
