I applied online and a week later had a brief phone screening with Molly who was very friendly and we scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. The personality of the office was the polar opposite from what I experienced speaking with Molly. It felt like a very cold, unwelcoming environment and the office seemed very quiet and bland. I interviewed with Ed, who clearly had not taken any time to look over my resume. When I asked to further discuss the responsibilities of the role, he barked that I should have read that in the job description, but then proceeded to drone on for 20+ minutes without giving me much of a chance to speak. I chimed in occasionally to speak where I could show that I had experience doing certain things that the role required, but he did not seem interested. When I got home, they had sent me skills tests for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and a typing test. Seeing that I have two years as an analyst at a software company, I was thoroughly irritated that I was, after two rounds of interviews, being asked to prove that I could copy-paste and perform other basic functions in Office. Unsurprisingly, I did not hear from anyone for almost a month and finally received an email that they had moved forward with another candidate. Your loss, not mine.
