I applied online. I interviewed at Walton Isaacson (Culver City, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
It was like interviewing with the most racist people because I wasn't Hispanic. They literally call themselves a DEI agency but if you aren't brown, you will get hostile looks. They should just state that you need to brown in their job listings.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walton Isaacson in Sept 2016
Interview
In person interview with 3 people over a two hour period. You first interview with your direct manager, then the AE you would be partnering with, and then the market director of all the accounts.
Overall this was a terrible process. While, I was okay with not getting an offer they scheduled a 4pm call with me on a Monday to tell me I did not get the internship, which I thought was very weird. They could have just emailed me saying I did not get it instead of making me wait all day with high hopes.
Very, very bizarre process.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walton Isaacson (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
The interview process was easy, mostly asking about writing style, where published and account types worked on. The phone screen was pleasant and then asked for an in person meeting. General agency speak. In the end I decided not to take the job - writing for spirits wasn't as exciting as I thought, a lot of copy restrictions and limitations from legal.
