My interview process started out very positive. The recruiter was thoughtful and thorough in figuring out my ideal position and was transparent about the positions I might be a good fit for and when they would be opening those up for hiring due to Covid-19. I had been speaking with the company for over 5 months but didn't start the interview process until month 3. The interview process itself was pretty slow, with multiple rounds about 2-3 weeks apart. After each interview it took the recruiter about a week or 2 to get feedback and set up the next round. After the 5th round I had expected to finally get a decision which I did. A CANNED REJECTION EMAIL!!! I couldn't believe it. After 5 months of correspondence and my time, very positive feedback and experience thus far the recruiter and hiring manger couldn't pick up the phone to give me the news, any feedback. ....something! This was a company I truly respected in the industry, and was shocked at their response. I emailed the recruiter wondering if it was a mistake or asking for any feedback and have been ghosted ever since. Luckily I've accepted a position elsewhere, but just can't understand why companies think this is okay to do to interviewees.
