I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vons (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2011
Interview
Easy process. The manager was very friendly and he just talked about the Starbucks goal and the 5 steps . The customer is always right. It's gonna take like 2 weeks to do your training. You will learn and then speed comes afterwards and then you will be a very talented batista.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Vons (San Luis Obispo, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Applied for the instore barista position, but when I was interviewed it was not at all for a barista. It was very uncomfortable and hard to get a chance to say "hey this isn't the job I applied for"

Past Work Experience
Had I ever worked for the franchise?
Asked about my background and I only got up to introducing myself before getting quickly dismissed because I only wanted a summer temp job, which was not specified on the job application. They wanted me to stay for 3 months for training and I was leaving for college in 3 months.
