Online application at Vodafone's global careers site for a position in Spain.
Received a call from HR (outsourced to Ranstad), quick conversation and arrangement for an interview. Told me they will send a email with interview details, I didn't receive anything. I called back one day before supposed interview. I confirmed it and I was told I will receive the email this time, and I did but interview date was wrong. Anyway I got to Vodafone's HQ in Madrid next day as agreed in telephone conversation. I had to wait more than 1/2h for my interviewer to arrive. I spent 2,5h for the interview process. First explanation about the process of the interview. I did a practical exercise about a subsidiarie I was supposed to manage and solve some actual problems and make a plan for sales improvement, then make a presentation of that. Then a formal, classic interview about my experience going through mi resumee and finally a short interview in english (prior steps in Spanish) The HR interviewer was professional and nice, despite the "logistic" problems to arrange the interview. I was told that in the next week they will have a decission about candidates going to next step interviewing with the business people, and after that the will hire 2 people among the finalists in the week after. I was also told that if I was not selected for the next step I will receive communication of such news and an extract explaining the reasons why I was not selected.
I received a call next week; I was told that the process will pass to standby untill Christmas holydays were off, but that I was among the finalist and I will receive a call afther vacations to arrange a second interview with business people. At the date when I was suppossed to be called I had no news from Vodafone, I called back the next week and I was told that the have "lost2 some candidates and they were doing more 1st phase interviewing to get more finalists. After one month from that I am still waiting a call from them or any other communication.

HR lead initially via phone and then specialists/functional owners. straightforward capabilities based questions against job advertised. No trick questions. 60 min interviews against HR criteria - several follow up informal interviews post formal round.

Interview
I was interviewed for the role of NAM for Global accounts,and my interview lasted for 2 months.I was interviewed by all the vertical heads in Vodafone.
However they handed over me the offer for NAM position for National Accounts.
Although I had very explicitly stated my salary expectation in the beginning and requested them to go ahead with the interview only if they can offer me the desired salary . they agreed initially but I was played upon at the time of offer handover.

The questions asked from every one in Vodafone was more or less same and simple. Very classic questions which are asked .One being the most challenging situation confronted and how was it handled.
