I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Village Voice (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
I applied via email, and was asked to come into the office for an in-person interview. The interview was quick, and I was informed that I got the job very quickly afterwards. The experience was nice, but it was obvious that there were some tensions at the office due to recent job cuts on the editorial staff. The office has since moved downtown into a more airy office which is a huge upgrade from the dark office they previously had at Astor Place.
I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Village Voice (New York, NY) in Nov 2011
Interview
I got the contact info through my schools database. I set up an interview with my supervisor and we met fairly quickly. The office space was a little run down and old but people were nice. Interview went smoothly and provided for a great upcoming atmosphere.
