Typical screening call with recruiter, which led to interview with the hiring manager. The interview was only scheduled for 30 mins with a hard stop. The convo was rushed and there wasn’t any time to ask questions. The hiring manager gave me her email so I could at least ask my questions regarding the role. I sent the email thanking her for her time, emphasizing my interest in the role, and asking my questions. The next day I followed up with both recruiters I spoke to asking about timeline, as I was actively interviewing for another role, but I wanted to prioritize this opportunity. I never received a reply, not even an automated rejection. I was ghosted after taking the time to prepare for two rounds of interviews. I find this to be not only unprofessional, but disrespectful of my time and effort as well.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Viasat (Carlsbad, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
Tough interview. 6 different people for 30 minutes each. Many of them asked the same questions so I felt like I was repeating myself over and over and had trouble remembering who I told what details to. I was hired and now I see why they do it that way, but it's tough.
