I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Via Transportation (Salt Lake City, UT) in May 2021
Interview
This is also one of my personal top 10% unsatisfying interview experiences.
Applied via LinkedIn.
Scheduled by a recruiter to speak with the hiring manager.
Some behaviorals, then went straight to an (unexpected) mini-case. Was given some info and how I would approach making a decision based on the limited information. Was told I'd hear back within 3 days.
Basically ghosted. Waste of time. Felt like the hiring manager was just fishing for free strategy work. Doesn't help when you don't inform the candidate that there's a mini-case in literally the first conversation with someone at the company.

Interview
Lengthy interview process asking various of questions on how to better the the company - it was as if they were trying to farm ideas rather than actually interview you for the role.

Interview
There is an unspoken understanding - that if the hiring company speaks to your references, and these talks are positive - they will hire you. Otherwise, you're burning a reference credit for nothing.
This is a clear expectation - however, it was not met this time, which truly is very disappointing.

Expect real life cases (i.e. not classic consulting, but cases that actually relate to the job at hand) in almost every interview.
