I interviewed for a Help Desk Technician role at VMG and unfortunately found the process very disorganized. After my first interview, I was initially told I had been rejected, only to later be informed that it was a mistake and asked to complete an assessment before moving forward.
For my second interview, I was only given the time, with no clear confirmation or details about the format. After following up multiple times, I showed up at the office as scheduled, only to be told the interview with the COO was actually virtual. I was then asked to drive to another office where the Director of IT was located and ended up taking the interview via his laptop while he sat in the room.
On both occasions, I only received a rejection after chasing down the recruiter for an answer myself. While the conversations with the Director of IT and COO were professional and substantive, the overall process was confusing, frustrating, and left a poor impression of how candidates are treated.
