Interview

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at VentureTech Group in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process was very lengthy and time consuming. The 1st round was with HR to review the job description and get a better understanding of who you are as a person, the 2nd was with the COO who asked more probing questions related to culture, problem solving and if you would be a good fit.. All of this was well and good. Here's the kicker - The 3rd interview was with the company Admin of all people to review your technical skills. They send you a case study a little less than 1 hour before the interview and expect you to create a PM board, create user stories, acceptance criteria, solution notes, time estimates and a general structure on how a project would flow and THEN once you get on the call you have to review said board and BUILD in front of said admin without using any assistance such as google/AI etc. Not only is this nerve wrecking trying to rush through the creation of your PM board but it also doesn't give time to come up with a clear solution for the provided case study along with time to trouble shoot/reflect on what if scenarios.. Never would a consultant of any kind have to solution, build and troubleshoot in front of a client, ever. Although I had passed 2 out of the 3 interviews and the solutions I gave within the hour (little less) were correct, the fact that I wasn't able to troubleshoot on the call to fix a few things knocked me completely out of the running.
This was by far one of the worst interviews I have been on - both time consuming and honestly humiliating.
