I had a 90 minute technical screen. Questions were straightforward and divided in two specific problems: one programming challenge about data structures, and then a systems design problem to provide the architecture for a social media app.

Question 1
How would you design a Twitter like social media app to serve hundreds of concurrent users?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vendr in Feb 2021
Interview
Fair questions as relates to the job and typical coding interview problems, and everyone I spoke to seemed very friendly.
It was a no from their side, and not that it makes the result any different, but their communication was not great. They at least did contact me, which sadly is better than most when it's a no.
The recruiter said the interviewers would be meeting to discuss feedback on a certain day, and then they did not contact me until late in the afternoon on the Friday of that week. Not sure if the standard for them is to just do the Friday afternoon bad news dump but it would have been nice to not be on the hook waiting for days while they knew things wouldn't be moving forward, or at least to have received some sort of update.

Question 1
Every interviewer asked me "what your definition of done?" so I had to answer it 5 separate times. I'm not sure if this was intentional or if they just don't talk but I found this kind of odd.
