Contacted by a recruiter. First phone interview with the team lead or VP of (SImulation/Physics) Engineering. He was nice and accomplished. Second Skype interview with a junior member of the team. Both interviews went over my resume/experience etc. Invited for an on-site interview to CA. Interviews with members of the team were very technical. The full problem they're trying to simulate is multi-disciplinary and non-trivial. We discussed possibilities and problems. Things went downhill fast in the second interview of the day with a team member who was perhaps too full of himself to be interviewing a slightly more senior and experienced peer in me. He questioned my technical skills, we disagreed and it wasn't entirely courteous. Interview with the CEO was an experience, but nothing overtly negative, just probing questions. Overall I didn't go in with great expectations but was disappointed to come out with a slightly negative impression. Worst part was that they refused to reimburse me fully for my expenses, saying it wasn't in line with their 'travel policy'. I'm not quite sure they had one up until that moment as they apologized for not making me aware of one and modified the template Excel sheet I had sent in as my reimbursement form.
