1st interview: 1 hour long, 3 panel (HR, Finaance, and current Payroll Manager).
The interview was basic, each interviewer had a list of situational/behavioural/techical questions.
2nd interview: 30 mins long, 2 panel (Controller & CFO - the CFO didn't show up)
Interview was more relaxed, discussed the role in detail comparing their needs to my experience.
There was something disconcerting about this job and my interactions with the interviewers from the very first time I was contacted. Within the first 15 minutes of the first interview I was tempted to apologize and end the call. I continued with the interview to remain professional, though I was confident I would not be receiving a call to move forward in the interview process.
It was stunned when I was contacted for a second interview. I accepted out of curiosity.
In the second interview we identified I have the qualifications and experience they are looking for in a candidate, however, it was was a lateral move for me career wise and not the tragertory I was looking for in my career. I admitted I was not interested in the role.
It was baffling to me when an offer was extended to me.
The salary offered was on par with my current salary and the total compensation package did not include many of the benefits provided in my current role to justify the move. They were unwilling to negotiate. I declined the offer.
